What Kind of Pointe Shoes Should I Get?

I need to get new pointe shoes, but I want to try something different from my Bloch's. I want shoes that will feel comfortable, but firm, will look good on my feet (box and arch wise) and be able to hold out for fairly long. What would you suggest?

i used bloch for a long time and i tried gaynor minden and it was great. at first i thought gaynor would be too soft but i really liked it so maybe you can give it a try. :)
Reply:Just go to get fitted and describe what you would like to your fitter. Also, don't be afraid to tell them you don't like what your trying on or that you do but you want something that is a little bit different. My only suggestion is to try shoes on until you find a pair you like because just because everybody else here likes a certain style, they might not be the ones for you. I personally think unless you are 100% happy with the style and size that you already have, it's a trial and error type of a thing when your finding new pointe shoes.

Good luck with finding new shoes!
Reply:i use bloch and capezio..theyre good.
Reply:Just go crazy in the store. Remember what you liked about Bloch, and what you want and describe it to your fitter. They should be able to help you find what you're looking for.

Personally, as I myself am tired of Blochs (they make my arch look like crap) I'm thinking of buying a Grisko (sp?) shoe....

Reply:chacotts! i love them but, the toe is a little narrow...

Reply:Try Grishko they are Russian made and what I'm using right now and I like them better then my old Blochs.
Reply:i think you should try either russian point or mia's 2007. the mia's are really good, and i actually have to get new pointe shoes for a performance i'm doing. i would go for the mia's (pronounced MYA)
