Bloch Pointe Shoes...?

Hi! I currently wear Bloch signature rehearsals in size 8 C. I like them a lot, and they have held up for a month so far and the boxes are still pretty hard (which is good! My Capezios died in 6 weeks) but I find that they put a lot of pressure on the side of my big toes towards the bottom (maybe they are too tapered?)

I am thinking of maybe getting sonatas or serenades for my next pair, does anybody know how they compare to the SRs? Box, shank hardness and length are a concern (as you can tell I have large feet, so I am usually near the upper limit of sizes). I have a fairly wide food with square-ish toes (longer 2nd toe) and a fairly narrow heel. Does anyone have experience with all three shoes?

Other suggestions are appreciated as well :). I am definitely going to be fitted in a store, I just wanted to see if I could get any second opinions.

Thanks so much!

Bloch Pointe Shoes...?
i have always liked bloch pointe shoes the best! i like capezio for everything else, but like yours, my capezios didn't last long.

i've never used the other brands you mentioned. i just hope you find a pair that works for you. good luck!
Reply:i used to use blochs for the longest time. and recently i bought a pair of gaynor Mindens. there pretty expensive. but they are amazing shoes. its better to start off on bloch so that you can build strength in your feet and ankles. the G.Ms are a really sot shoe that basically come already broken in. try them if you think your ready for them

ask your dance teacher about shoes. becuase the people at the shoe store dont always know what they are talking about and try to sell you the wrong shoe..
Reply:My personal favourite of the three are Sonatas.

I guess you just have to find the right pair for you.

I'd gone through gosh knows how many brands of pointes before I finally settled on the Sonatas.

And cost mum a large sum of money :S.
