Hide snake in a shoe box .will it be found?

Going to france by bus.Hide my snake in a shoe box with some hand luggage.Will that be checked?Can they found?It doesnt make any noise

I take it you aren't going to fly there and then take a bus, because they would immediate see the snake as it went through the screening process.


I certainly wouldn't suggest it! This will be very stressful on the snake, not to mention you. Once you hit the border, your nervousness will give you away. Besides, it may well be found by a random luggage inspection. Do you really want to risk going to prison over smuggling a snake?


Why not just give it to someone else to care for while you are in France? The snake will be much better off and there's no chance of you getting caught.


Or you could check what is required to bring a pet snake into France and try to meet those requirements and be up front and honest about it.

The shoe box does not seem very secure. I have had snakes that have escaped out of my viv.. with it locked down. So if you make it through dont be surprised if its not in the box :P
Reply:Why are you wanting to take your snake? Why are you not just leaving it in it's tank where it will be happy! I'm sure you must be joking!!!!! Allsorts of dreadful things could happen to it!!!!!

Reply:If you get caught you will lose your snake and be fined very heavily. If you are willing to risk this then go ahead and I hope you do get caught. Laws are there for our protection not just for fun.

Reply:put snake in a snake bag or pillow case. put it in your panties you'll be ok. but where baggy close . you can always take him out on the bus just take a blanket with you to put over you in the seat then you can take it out without anyone noticing then slip it in a box if you like. or if the bus has a bathroom take him out in there and switch him to a box but make sure there is a few wholes in it you can poke them on the bottom of the box or the side next to you. just be careful i know you want to keep your pet . if your worried that you will get caught you should ship him to where your going to threw fed x or something for $35-$45 lot cheeper than fines . keep it in your panties less likely to check there than your personal belongings when your going threw security. if they check you and get close to it tell them that there making you feel uncomfortable and make some kind of sound or moan or something good luck %26amp; dont get cought

Reply:Don't know whether or not it will be checked, but I can tell you that any snake that could fit in a shoebox can easily get out of one.... Not a good idea.
Reply:Not good for the snake, not good at all. Lots of scary vibrations, and smells, which will lead to a stressed out snake that will try to escape from the box. This is a ridiculous idea, don't do it.
