Why are there names on the side of shoe boxes?

Okay, ever get a new pair of shoes and you look on the sizing information on the box and there is a name, like: Ryan, Sheila, Jennifer or something like that? Okay, what in the world is that for? Is that who made the shoes? Is that who they want to buy the shoes? Gah! I don't know... =/

Why are there names on the side of shoe boxes?
i think that is the person who served you when you were there. or maybe not

Reply:It's a style name. Say for instance you call a shoe store asking for a particular pair of shoes. If you ask if they sell blue and white Nikes, that doesn't help much. However, if you ask if they have Nike Ryan's, they'd be able to check right away.
