help me
My pointe shoes got wet :( ???
they probably are still wet. It would probably be most sensible to get new ones but try to dry them out your airing cupboard or on a radiator. u may also have to try using shellac on them to try and harden them
dont try drying them outside

Reply:Sorry, but those shoes are history. Let your teacher know before class so she knows what happened. You do not want to dance in those anymore. If they got soaked all the way through like it sounds like they did, they are ruined. Just be more careful with your next pair. I would recommend not putting a drink in the bag with your shoes.
Reply:Before your teacher discovers what happened, go to her and 'fess up. It was an accident. You may have to have your pointes reblocked, or they may be beyond redemption, but she won't kill you. If she's a smart teacher, she'll use what happened to you as an example for the other dancers in your class and remind them that shoes must be protected from wet conditions.
Reply:I have done the same thing, except it was just a little spot.
You probably will have to get new pointe shoes, but talk to your teacher first. It was an accident and it could have happened to anybody. It definitely wasn't your fault.
I hope this helps :)
Reply:You're probably going to have to get new pointe shoes. Sometimes experienced dancers use a little water to help soften their shoes up a bit when they're breaking them in, but if they're soaked, then my best guess is for you to get new ones. Before you do, I'd check with your teacher first just to make sure - there might be a small chance of them being okay. It's okay, I've had friends do that in the past, you'll be fine.
