What do you think of Gaynor Minden pointe shoes?

I am doing a science project based on the question: Do Gaynor Minden pointe shoes last three times as long as other brands? I am running out of time and cannot find any one to take my survey, so I decided to post it on here. 4. How long do you dance on pointe per class? all class and rehearsal, so 4 to 10 hours per day (occasionally more if I'm doing a last-minute substitution in a performance and need extra rehearsal)


5. About when did you get your Gaynor Minden pointe shoes? age 11


6. About when did you get your pointe shoes of another brand? starting age 8, up till now (only had one pair gaynors, hated them)


7. In the Gaynor Minden pointe shoes, when did:


a. The tips tatter? right away- even with moleskin


b. The shanks brake? didnt break- just kept springing strangel. awful trying to do petit allegro, it makes it take no strength at all to jump.


c. The boxes soften? they practically had no boxes- the plastic was thin enough my knuckles went right over if I didn't pull up


d. The shanks soften? they came pretty soft, although they were really springy so rolling up felt a little strange.


e. The shoe loses its ability to support you? never really did support me- just kind of propped me up not quite en pointe and left me there, when I went the rest of the way up there was no support.


8. In the pointe shoes of other brands, when did: I'll answer for Grishko, since that's what I use for class (I perform in Freeds)


a. The tips tatter? don't- the rest dies first


b. The shanks brake? I don't break my shanks- that's a sign of a weak foot that isn't pulled up properly.


c. The boxes soften? about 8 hours of dancing, but I can get 12 if I use lots of jet glue


d. The shanks soften? depends on the strength- I'm comfortable dancing in anything from supersoft to double hard (my feet are strong enough for either) supersoft only lasts an hour maybe so I usually use hard or double, that lasts about as long as the box if Iput in shank tacks when it starts going soft.


e. The shoe loses its ability to support you? doesn't really- I can do a lot on bare feet if I have to, but beyond 10 hours or so my feet tire out quickly and become more bruised because the shoe is too soft.

nope, they're already dead when you buy them practically.
