How do I start making shoe stores recycle shoe boxes instead of giving them to customers?

I agree. Its an awesome idea. I would say, if the buyer if willing to leave the shoe box, then you will give a %10 discount. Explain to them that this is economically better for the environment and financially better for them! Everyone is all about saving a few bucks. Good luck!

BUY THE SHOE STORE and make your own rules.

Other than that, you'll need to come up with some way to make it economically feasible for store owners to dispose of boxes. Otherwise the cost of doing so will be added to the price of shoes.

For my part, I like to keep the shoe boxes and use them. I would not want to leave them with the store.
Reply:Where do you live. and start a petition. I can support this idea. Maybe do an internet petition and we can all get behind this effort. It is a very good project.
Reply:encourage customers to bring in their own bag and leave the box - the store will have no option but to find a way to make accommodation.
Reply:How bout just trying to get the customers recycle their own shoe box.
Reply:That will be nearly impossible.

You could get shoe stores to start putting a notice in with their shoes asking to be kind %26amp; recycle.

Ask shoe stores to do their part...Advise people to recycle...Good question though. A lot of shoes are sold daily, therefore a lot of boxes are being thrown away.

Good luck %26amp; God bless.
Reply:The customers could be the ones who recycle the shoe boxes. They may use them for storage, moving, projects etc. but if that is still not good enough then check out

As far as dealing with a corporation usually things that benefit the bottom line are a good selling point. They could market to the customers that they are "Green" They could give discounts to customers that bring in there own shopping bags to carry home shoes in. Not buying, stocking and packing shoeboxes should save $ and labor.
