We used to do that at my old school. We used to put stuff like a small teddy, toothpaste, a packet of sweets, and things like that. Because it's a teenage girl, I recommend a lip gloss or something like that, a hairbrush or some pretty hair slides, and maybe some earrings. We were always told small things, so that was what we used to do. Good luck, and I hope you find what you want!
Reply:Thanks for the 10 points! I hope you get everything you want, and good luck with helping this year. I'm starting it again next year, and I might end up asking YOU for advice! :D Report It

Reply:It would help you if you knew what religion or country this girl lives in. Some of the things might be inappropriate for a strict Muslim child, for example.

The organisers would be able to answer your questions. I have sent off hats and scarves and gloves, some form of costume jewellery. I
Reply:My children used to do a shoebox every year. We used to get a list of things that were unacceptable, things that required battieres, (torch's, games etc), no aerosol sprays, nothing in glass bottles, no books written in English. So we put in things like tissues, hand cream, hair scrunchies, soft toys, keyrings, soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and sweets.
Reply:I usually go the Dollar Store and pick up things like toothbrushes, tooth paste, bar soap, face cloths. They really are in need of a lot of toiletries. I'll also pick up pens, paper, crayons, puzzle books, socks, stickers, books. Kids of all ages.

It's a great idea and I do a couple of boxes every year. .
Reply:Pens and writing pads, personal hygeine things like soap
Reply:A dainty set of mirror, with matching brush and comb. Or hair Barrett's, pony-tail holders. Small bottles of nail polish in greens, purple %26amp; etc. A pink PJ's shirt.

Is this the organzation Samartin's Purse run by Billy Graham son, Franklin Granham. It is a wonderful thing they do. They always film it and show it to the ones back in the States.
Reply:Yes i have done these, and used to take ours into our local Kwik Fit garage for collection.
Reply:Absolutely. A nice shaver with shaveing gel. Body wash with a scrubber. Gift certificate for Belks, Macys, Wal-mart, etc... maybe a gift certificate also from somewhere like Bath and Body Works or a restaurant thats common to your area.
